I find myself lost in my own head. Sometimes I have so many things that I want to blog about. And sometimes I have none - for long stretches of time.
I am trying to think about where to take this blog. I think I will do a video blog as part of it. I think I will try some other series…
What would you like to see discussed? How can we make this a useful place to wrestle with the Christian life?
Social Justice and the Gospel, I'm feeling like these days we are seperating them? What do you think?
ReplyDeleteI like that.
ReplyDeleteBeing "all in" and more like Christ is easy to say but difficult to actually live out. The cost of following Christ and really doing His work is messy, complicated, difficult, scary, and can leave you asking yourself if it's worth it. I'd like to see some practical conversations about what can and will happen when you're "all in." What should we expect? How will our lives change? How will the church be effected? What shape will the fiery darts and arrows take? How do we protect ourselves from losing hope? How do we learn to love the lost and least and still love each other like our lives depend on it?
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I appreciate most about RLOTP, is the transparency of the directors and their willingness to live and love by example. This blog is a perfect opportunity for you to share the cannonball journey, the good and the bad, on a personal level. Blogs and Vlogs are a great conduit for keeping it real. BTW, thank you for asking.
That is a great idea! Living "all in" is messy for sure. And I know that receiving grace is often much easier than giving grace and being a graceful person. Yet that is exactly what we are called to. that sparks some good thoughts. Thanks!
DeleteI would really love to see your meditations on pieces of Scripture.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea. I am on such a steep learning curve for myself that I am afraid that my half answers and shallow exposition might be an embarrassment. But that is a good idea.
DeleteThis would he a great place to "chase rabbit trails" or delve into those "sermon for another day". I know time restrictions keep you from those on Sunday. This would be a great way to inform and delve a little deeper into them. Many times it could storm or understanding of a subject. They really wet the appetite for a deeper understanding. And can leave you feeling hanging when they aren't followed.
